Engino Kits: Lending Library Spotlight
Within the West Tennessee STEM Hub, our Ambassadors have a variety of majors from Biology and Chemistry to engineering with the predominant one being engineering. Because of that, many of the kits in the Lending Library are focused on engineering and teaching students the mechanics of many of the structures around them. Our Engino building kits are amazing ways to teach students about two of the different pathways of engineering: Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
The Engino Structures Building and Bridges Kit is a great way to introduce students to the basics of Civil Engineering. Using step-by-step instructions, students can build different bridges such as truss, suspension, and a cable-stayed as well as a house and a pyramid. The kit also includes theories and facts about the structures that the students are building, quizzes to test their knowledge, and experimental activities for the bridges. The Lending Library has the Engino Structures Building and Bridges Kit in the Lending Library, waiting for an educator or Ambassador to check them out!
The Engino Mechanics Kits are great ways to introduce students to the basics of Mechanical Engineering. The Cams and Cranks Kit is a way for students to see a 3D visualization of transfer of power by building a moving bridge or a sewing machine. The Levers and Linkages Kit shows one of the amazing simple machines that creates important products such as a seesaw or a wheelbarrow. Apart the two stated, there are several more available to be checked out, and all of these kits include theories and facts about the structures that the students are building and quizzes to test their knowledge.
Here at the Lending Library, we look forward to seeing you pick up your reservation for these amazing kits!
